A Plan for the Fullness of Time – Christmas 2B
If you had a plan for the future, what would it be? Would it be world peace? A comfortable life? World domination (Like Pinky and the Brain)?
God has a plan for the future. It begins with our redemption through the blood of Christ. But that is the beginning, a mere foretaste of what He wants from the future. The goal God has is that the world is united in Him. We are the first fruits in that plan.
Side note: As I read this passage, there seems to be an intermingling of God the Father and the Son. Or that the Christ is more of an action than a person. Basically, what raises the issue is that "his blood" seems to be a reference to God the Father. What does that mean?
